This bulletin board was created for the COTH Benefit Auctions, however this bulletin board (and the auctions) are not formally affiliated with The Chronicle of the Horse magazine, website, or COTH Forums bulletin boards. It was just started so that members of the COTH Forums and others could raise much-needed funds for non-profit equine charities. All auctions held on this site are fully volunteer-run, and the moderators and administrators receive absolutely no compensation, monetary or otherwise, from any donors, bidders, or other parties in relation to any and all of the auctions. That being said, the moderators and administrators do carry full-time responsibilities outside of this board, so we ask that you please be understanding of any delays that you may experience in response to posts. ***PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING*** To participate in an auction, you must REGISTER as a member of this forum. Over $2,700 was raised to benefit UC Davis Cushings Research, the Colorado horses, and other groups. >>The Holiday Auction ran in Nov. '04, and over $1,700 was raised for various equine charities, including CANTER, Crystal Peaks, and others. >>The New Year's Stallion Service Auction ran from Jan. 17th through Feb. 7th. Over $8,000 was generated for a variety of organizations.
